Inspiration From Around the World

As a Jewelry Designer I am constantly looking for inspiration. Of course, you all know that I am constantly searching through celebrity fashion. I also search all over the world, and all throughout history to provide me with ideas. The journey can be endless because there so much beauty in the world. Here are a few pieces that have touched me in such as way that it feels like a spiritual awakening.

This style of necklace is from India. It's called Lakh, a few years back you could see many stars such as Beyonce and Tyra Banks wearing Chandelier earrings in this style.

These are earrings are from Ancient Rome.

These are Egyptian Necklaces.

These necklaces and Charms are of European Decent. They are Celtic.

This is another style of Jewelry from India called Kundan.

My daughter is actually the namesake for this people from Kenya. I love Masai Jewelry and culture.

Here is American Indian jewelry. Pieces from this culture are beautiful, their great American Indian Artisans in New Mexico. I used to visit there often on business and I picked a few pieces back then.

These pieces are from Ancient Greece, such strong and pronounced style.

This is a stunning piece from West Africa, the part of the world where most African Americans came to America from.

I hope you have felt the as inspired as I have by these pieces! If you have, go and create!

Don't forget to enter my giveaway, it ends October 31st.

East Indian and West African (I'm one with my Gullah roots) are generally the most appealing design styles to me-But the Egyptian piece with the scarab gave me goosebumps-it is gorgeous!

Thanks for sharing.

These are some truly beautiful pieces. I love creations that have meaning behind them, that, like you said, gives you that spiritual awakening or just touches you in some way. You can tell when a piece is made with passion and love and you can tell when something has a history.

If I had some yarn right now I would definitely go and create, lol.
