Nona Hendryx

Many of you may know Patti Labelle and are very familiar with her long career. How many of you know about Nona Hendryx? She was a band member with Patti Labelle back when they were the Bluebelles and then again when they were LaBelle. Eventually they all went out on their own and Nona had some success as a solo artist in the 1980's.







Nona Hendryx is a very talented writer, producer and musician. She has written and worked in many genres of music including Funk, New Age, Rap, Heavy Metal, and she has written scores for movies and plays. What I like most about her is her style.









This picture is a recent one. Nona is about 64 years old, but isn't she youthful and flawless.



I was going to post about another celebrity near and dear to my heart today, but I saw Nona on Tavis Smiley's show last night, and I was so impressed with her that I had to make this post about her. Rock on chick!!!! BTW- The Labelles have recored a reunion album I've heard a sample it's pretty good!
